Am adunat in e-biblioteca mea cateva volume din seria Mnemosyne. Bibliotheca Classica Batava Supplementum. In afara faptului ca volumele aparute sub aceasta sigla sunt de o calitate excelenta, sunt si foarte scumpe. De aceea nu prea pot fi vazute in colectii particulare, ci mai mult in biblioteci - si mai ales in Occident.

Hypatia

Postare dedicata lui Mario.

Asa cum scriam și aici, ultimul film al regizorului Alejandro Amenabar aduce în discutie viata si personalitatea uneia dintre cele mai interesante figuri din antichitatea tardiva: filosoafa si matematiciana Hypatia din Alexandria.

Hypatia a devenit in ultima perioada, mai ales in lumea anglo-saxona, una dintre icoanele feminismului*.

Ea s-a remarcat mai ales ca si matematiciana, nici o lucrare din câmpul filosofiei (dacă a existat vreuna) nesupraviețuind pana astăzi.

Un proiect pe care doream de mai mult timp sa-l realizez pe Analecta Classica: operele Imparatului Iulian. Petele albe pe care le puteti intalni pe unele pagini sunt puse in locul unde era trecut numele bibliotecii. Tomurile bilingve gr.-fr. - 2 la numar, fiecare in doua parti - sunt scanate la o rezolutie foarte buna, paginile au fost "taiate" de mine insumi, asa ca sunt numai bune pentru a fi printate si studiate pe indelete, cu creionul in mana.
